Abdul Aijaz is a visiting assistant professor in the Department of International Studies at Indiana University Bloomington, from which he holds a dual PhD in Geography and English Literature. He researches issues of water scarcity and environmental politics at the intersections of resource geography, environmental humanities, and development studies. His geographic area of focus is South Asia, specifically the Indus Basin in Pakistan. His previous research has been supported by SSRC, the Fulbright Foundation, and the American Institute of Pakistan Studies, and has appeared in the journals Environment and Planning D: Nature and Space, Literary Geographies, and the Journal of Political Science, among others.
