Overall Requirements

  • Be enrolled in an eligible degree program by the time of acceptance.
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Be a United States citizen.
  • Be eligible for Federal employment 
  • Be able to obtain a security clearance and pass a background check. (The SF-86 form is used for clearances)

Scholarship Requirements

If you are selected as a IUCSP CyberCorps scholarship recipient, you will be expected to:

  • Maintain a 3.4 GPA
  • Be a full time student, otherwise receive partial or no stipend
  • Attend a variety of events
  • Participate in a cybersecurity student organization
  • Complete the Cybersecurity Capstone
  • Complete a IUCSP CyberCorps-approved government internship during the summer after the first year
  • Submit documentation periodically to the NSF and IU
  • Participate in 1:1 mentoring with a faculty member
  • Participate in career advising
  • Travel to job fairs in Washington, DC
  • Upon graduation, recipients must work in a Federal Executive Branch post-graduation for two years.
