“We have successfully pivoted to offer hybrid events with limited in-person attendance and continued record-breaking virtual engagement. This has included a series of co-hosted conferences on such topics as the space commons, food commons, and the first-ever Statewide Indiana Cybersecurity Summit, which we co-hosted with Purdue and Notre Dame and featured remarks from President Whitten and former Senator Dan Coats, among many others. Nor did we put off our strategic plans until the pandemic subsided. We identified new leadership for the Commons Governance Program after Professor Bill Blomquist retired in the form of Professor Insa Theesfeld, who is also the current President of the International Association of the Study of the Commons (IASC), enabling us to deepen our ties with IASC through a series of special events and initiatives.”
