PELIO Program: Important Changes
Until the summer 2019, the PELIO Program (Political, Economic and Legal Institutions and Organizations) was directed by Cyanne Loyle, who did a fantastic job launching the program and building out the community. In Fall 2019, Gustavo Torrens took over as the interim director and began the process of targeting the Program on a narrower range of issues in consultation with Program affiliates. This has resulted in the Program being renamed as the Political Economy Program (PEP).

For further details please visit the PEP webpage, which lays out the changes we are introducing to better serve the Ostrom Workshop community, honor and build on the legacy of Elinor and Vincent Ostrom, and provide a provocative but rigorous research agenda focusing on the “big” questions in political economy. We hope these changes will improve the Program and help enrich Ostrom Workshop’s reputation as a hub for innovative research on institutions and the exchange of ideas and methodologies from different fields of study.
