The Bloomington Urban Forestry Research Group (BUFRG) is currently working on several projects, including conducting a street tree inventory for the City of Bloomington, IN; examining the influence of institutions on private residential parcel vegetation management; exploring the relationship between urban soils and public and private vegetation in Bloomington; working with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc., to evaluate their neighborhood tree planting projects in Marion County, Indiana; and expanding this tree planting program research to six cities across the eastern and midwestern United States.
