STEFAN CARPENTER is a third-year student in the joint PhD in Public Policy program administered by the School of Public and Environmental Affairs and the Department of Political Science. Prior to attending IU, Stefan worked as an attorney and provided pro bono services for several non-profit environmental organizations. His research interests include the use of community-based resource management to supplement national and international environmental law, with a particular focus on the governance of wildlife and wildlife habitat. Stefan earned a JD from the University of Pennsylvania and a M.Ed. from Boston University.
