DAVID ENDICOTT is a third-year PhD student in Political Science at Indiana University. He studies comparative politics and research methods. Broadly, his focus is on political economy issues and electoral politics. Currently David is looking at the relationship between fiscal federalism and elections in India, and another project evaluates labor policies and welfare schemes for workers in India's informal economy. During the 2015 summer, he spent time in Chennai and Kolkata conducting interviews with labor groups, bureaucrats and state-level politicians. He received funding from the Ostrom Workshop to conduct those interviews.
