Connect with the Ostrom Workshop’s intellectual community of faculty, visiting scholars, and students by attending/participating in any of our regular lecture series.
The Colloquium Series takes place on Mondays at noon and is a lively discussion of a presenter’s unpublished paper. The Research Series on Wednesdays at noon provides a forum for visiting scholars and graduate students funded by the Workshop to discuss their current research work. A less frequent event, the Tocqueville Lecture Series, has a more formal presentation structure. All are open to the public, most are live streamed, and attendees are welcome to bring their lunch.
The Ostrom Workshop hosts three annual lectures: The Vincent and Elinor Ostrom Memorial Lecture (established in 2015), the Ostrom Lecture on Environmental Policy (established in 2017), and the Ostrom Lecture on Cybersecurity and Internet Governance (established in 2018). Additionally, the Workshop sponsors or hosts numerous other lectures throughout the year.
