Catherine M. Tucker is an environmental anthropologist and transdisciplinary researcher whose work focuses on commons, environmental governance, community-based natural resource management, food systems and sustainability. Working with local groups, she collaboratively studies smallholder coffee farmers’ adaptations to climate change, and how Indigenous knowledge and western science provide complementary insights for crafting resilient futures. She works as a Professor at the University of Florida with a joint appointment in the Department of Anthropology and the Center for Latin American Studies. She co-founded the Mountain Sentinels Network, and serves as President of the International Association for the Study of the Commons (IASC).
